Newfoundland Comedy Kitchen Party was a fundraiser for the 2017 fringe production of Dear Uncle Wish. It was held at the old Bad Dog Theatre location in the west end. It was supported with donations of food and prizes from Purity Factories Ltd, Tetley Canada, Freezerland Newfoundland LTD and various private donors.

Pre-show Newfoundland folk accordion music was performed by Daughters of the Rock from Brampton, Ontario. The show was hosted by Sam Chaulk and Candace Meeks and featured a cast of east coast improvisers. There was a comedy throwdown between Team New Brunswick (Jen Ferris, Tom Hearn, Scott Lloyd) and Team Newfoundland (Dana Puddicombe, Mike Fardy, Nick Parsons and Sam Chaulk). There were classic codco sketches performed by Jana Gillis and Erin Jessica-Marie Roche, mummers, and stand up by comedian Ryan Dillon.
